2008 - not the greatest so far

Sorry for the lack of updates. This has been the week from hell in every respect. I won't bore you with the details. To top it off my internet is down and won't be fixed til Monday (if we're lucky). I'm over at my aunt's, using her wireless to catch up on a few things.

So let's post a nice photo of the Lennon Sisters and their daughters. This is from the first year they performed in Branson. Hope you like.

Christmas 2008

Here's hoping your 2007 Christmas was happy and fun. Mine was not - I was sick as a dog on Christmas day, but I did have a lovely Christmas Eve. Not a total loss.

original Lennon Sisters reunited onstage

Over on the Welk Notes group and website, fans have posted about the special treat they enjoyed at Thurs. Nov. 1, 2007 show by The Lennon Sisters/Gatlin Bros. in Branson. Dee Dee and Peggy Lennon were both in the audience and joined their sisters onstage for a performance of May You Always. What a delightful surprise that must've been!

While browsing around the internets, I found the some fun radio interviews from the series Travel Talk Radio. It's hosted by Sandy Dhuyvetter, who is clearly a true Lennon Sisters (and Venice) fan. I love how genuinely thrilled she sounds at getting to interview Janet in particular. Enjoy the clips!

Tony Orlando and Lennons

Saw some news posted by Carolyn on the Welk Notes group:
The Lennon Sisters will be back in Branson in 2008 and will be performing with Tony Orlando at The Welk Theatre. They'll first appear with him at Branson fest in April 8 - 12, 2008.

Christmas clips in August?! Is she crazy?!

I blame the heat. It was a 104 freakin' degrees here today! Even the water in the pool was hot. I needed something to cool me off.



These ten clips are from the 1995 special A Lawrence Welk Family Christmas which marked their second holiday season at the Branson theater.
